Supply Chain Manager
On successful completion of the Supply Chain Manager apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a Level 9 in Masters of Science in Supply Chain Operations.
The lead industry partner for this apprenticeship is IPICS: The Supply Chain Institute. The apprenticeship is a 2 year programme delivered by the University of Limerick. It involves 4 days per week on-the-job training, and 1 day per week off-the-job at the University of Limerick and partner companies.
The programmes structured for blended delivery which minimizes the time that participants are off the job. While apprentices' will engage in significant study time the maximum ratio of on-the-job to off-the-job is 75/25.
For the Supply Chain Manager apprenticeship, the employer pays the apprentice for the duration of the apprenticeship. The rate of pay agreed for this apprenticeship is agreed between the employer and the apprentice.
Apprentices pay a pro-rata registration fee if their off-the-job education and development takes place with a higher education institute. The payment of the pro-rata registration fee is made by the apprentice directly to the Institute. For further information see 'Student Contribution'
